Since 1994, our organization has been committed to providing Lynn Classical Seniors with scholarship awards to help them realize their dreams of a college education.  Our goal this year is to reach and exceed a total of $500,000.00 in scholarship awards given by the association to Lynn Classical’s inspiring and aspiring students. This is an exciting time for us as we approach this goal.

In order for the Alumni and Friends of Lynn Classical High School to continue its dedicated work to provide worthy students with scholarship assistance, we will be hosting a Golf Tournament and Dinner on August 21, 2010 at Kelley Greens in Nahant. We are asking for your generosity and support to help make this a successful fundraising event. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation by either sponsoring a golf hole, donating an item or service that can be offered as a prize for a raffle, or making a cash contribution.

Hole Sponsor opportunities are as follows:

Your generous donation will be publicly acknowledged at the event by hole signage (for hole sponsors), promotional announcements, and signage prominently displayed in the dinner area.

Finally, we want to thank everyone who took part in this drawing. With your support, the Alumni and Friends of Lynn Classical High School raised an additional $2400.00 to support our Scholarship Program.

Imagine seeing the Red Sox at Fenway park for 5 bucks ($5). It’s unheard of these days. But that’s exactly what we’re offering. So what’s the catch? Well… for $5 AND a little luck, you could find yourself cheering for the Sox from your own seat in Fanway Park. But even if luck isn’t on your side, you’ll be helping out a great cause. This is just one of the fund raisers The Alumni and Friends of Lynn Classical High School Inc. holds  each year to help raise money for scholarships.

The Alumni and Friends of Lynn Classical High School are giving away a pair of Red Sox tickets to one lucky winner. Each donation of $5.00 is eligible for an entry in the drawing.

• $5 donation = one entry

• $15 donation = three entries
• and so on.

2009 All Classes Gathering

Thank You to everyone who came out on Saturday Night (May 6th 2009) to be a part of the All Classes Gathering (aka The Un-reunion). The turn out was fantastic and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. After reading the comments and buzz the day after, I think it’s safe to say the night was a complete success and everyone had a great time. For those who were not able to make it, we have posted pictures to Alumni Facebook Page . Not on Facebook? No worries. In the past five years, thanks to the support and contributions of LCHS Alumni and Friends, we have distributed $271,978 in Scholarships to graduating seniors of Lynn Classical High School. Although our efforts to continue this trend are as strong as ever, the ability to sustain the scholarship program is suffering due to the increased cost and expenses needed run supporting programs and Newsletters. We are appealing to you for your assistance in helping Classical Graduates to a better life by receiving a strong educational foundation and an opportunity for education beyond high school.

Because of the fine education we received at Classical, many of us have gone on to be productive members of our communities. We have become Doctors, Lawyers, Educators, Police, Nurses, Firefighters, as well as many Graduates who have made their mark in government, private industry and business. You are the very people that we need to give back to deserving students of your high school alma mater, Lynn Classical High School.

If you have already assisted us in supporting Classical students, we thank you and ask you to continue your generous support. To our Life Members, we continue to thank you for your generous past support.

Please answer our appeal in one of the following ways:

• If you are already an Alumni Member, please renew it for the coming year.
• Become a new contributing member of Alumni & Friends of Lynn Classical High School by filling out the Donation Application available here for download.
• Make a simple donation in any amount of your choice.
• Consider becoming a Named Scholarship donor in the amount of $500.00 or more.

Named scholarships can be submitted as a group. Get some family members together or classmates and name your own scholarship.
