The Alumni and Friends of Lynn Classical High School Association has recently learned of some unfortunate news. 1982 LCHS graduate Joanne Trentsch was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.

Joanne lives in Nahant and a fundraiser is being organized to provide support and assistance for her. The event will be held at the Nahant Knights of Columbus on Sat. Jan. 23. 7pm-11pm. Although there is no  “admission” charge at this time, a $20 donation will get you included in a cash raffle. The fundraiser will also host additional raffle prizes and a silent auction.

It is often the strength and support from family, friends and those who care that make what will undoubtedly be a difficult time, a little less difficult.  Wouldn’t it be great to rally together as Lynn Classical High School Alumni to show our support for one of our own?

Hey Class of 1994- Can you believe it’s been 15 years since graduation!? It’s time to get together to reconnect with old friends and celebrate!
You and a guest are invitied to join us for a night of friends and fun as we reminisce about our high school days.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle to raise money for a class of 1994 scholarship.

Red Sox Raffle Fund Raiser

Imagine seeing the Red Sox at Fenway park for 5 bucks ($5). It’s unheard of these days. But that’s exactly what we’re offering. So what’s the catch? Well… for $5 AND a little luck, you could find yourself cheering for the Sox from your own seat in Fanway Park. But even if luck isn’t on your side, you’ll be helping out a great cause. This is just one of the fund raisers The Alumni and Friends of Lynn Classical High School Inc. holds  each year to help raise money for scholarships.

The Alumni and Friends of Lynn Classical High School are giving away a pair of Red Sox tickets to one lucky winner. Each donation of $5.00 is eligible for an entry in the drawing.

• $5 donation = one entry
• $10 donation = two entries
• $15 donation = three entries
• and so on.

2009 All Classes Gathering

Thank You to everyone who came out on Saturday Night (May 6th 2009) to be a part of the All Classes Gathering (aka The Un-reunion). The turn out was fantastic and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. After reading the comments and buzz the day after, I think it’s safe to say the night was a complete success and everyone had a great time. Come out and play!

In our efforts to continue to serve and bring Classical Alumni together and stay connected, make new connections, and to continue support for the Alumni Scholarship Program, The Alumni and Friends of Lynn Classical High School Inc. is planning a number of social events for 2009. We have been amazed at the number of connections we have seen happen through this web site, through Facebook and our Alumni Facebook Page. Old friends have been reunited and new friendships have been forged. Why stop there? It is our hope now to be able to bring Alumni together, old and new, through social events and fund raisers. These events are an important part of our efforts to raise funds to continue to support and help current Classical students realize their dreams of a better life through education – and have a great time doing it.

When and What

• An “All Classes Gathering” in May for a Classical community get together
• A golf tournament in June to benefit the Scholarship Fund
• A Classical comedy night in the Fall just for fun
